Fachbereich 12 - Chemie und Pharmazie Institute of Organic Chemistry Postdoctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, salary level E 13 TV-L) 14.08.2026
from 1 January 2027. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 2 years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.
Your tasks:- collaboration in research and teaching
- providing students with subject-related expertise and instruction on applying scientific methods
- conducting independent research
- contributing to the administration of the working group
- maintaining the infrastructure of the working group
- A doctoral degree (PhD or Dr. rer. nat.) in chemistry with focus on organic chemistry is required
- Good command of written and spoken English is expected
- We also expect substantiated knowledge of
- organic chemistry and radical chemistry,
- standard analytical methods (e.g. NMR, mass spectroscopy, UV/vis),
- standard laboratory techniques (e.g. working under inert gas),
- the processing of a methodological research project.
- We also expect theoretical and practical experience in research in
- meta-functionalization of pyridine and quinolines derivatives
- transition metal free photochemistry
- radical chain mechanism,
- water activation using phosphines,
- skeletal editing,
- enantioselective metal catalysis.
