Setup Developer (m/f/d)

Evident Technology Center Europe GmbH (ETCE), based in Münster, Germany, has been developing and producing intelligent software and hardware solutions for microscopy for more than 35 years as a global ‘Center of Excellence.’ Until March 2023, it was part of Olympus Corporation, Japan. In April 2023, Olympus spun off the business unit and transferred its Scientific Solutions division’s operations to the newly founded, independent company Evident.

As a setup developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining installation,update and deployment solutions for our software products. You will ensure that our applicationscan be installed and updated reliably, securely and user-friendly.

Tasks

• Design and development of installation and update packages
• Creation and maintenance of MSI, EXE or container-based installation solutions
• Automation of build and deployment processes
• Integration of setup processes into CI/CD pipelines
• Close cooperation with software development, QA and IT operations
• Ensuring compliance with security and compliance requirements
• Experience with code signing and certificate management
• Compliance with internal standards and external norms

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, software engineering or comparable qualification
• Experience in developing installation routines (e.g. InstallShield or similar)
• Knowledge of build systems (e.g. MSBuild)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. C#, C++, PowerShell)
• In-depth knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN)
• Understanding of Windows system architectures
• Experience in dealing with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
• Strong understanding of processes
• Good level of English, communicative German
