As a Business Intelligence Expert (m/f/d), you are the central point of contact for data-driven decisions within the company. You develop analytics solutions, create and monitor data pipelines, and support business units in developing data-driven business models and processes based on our analytics environment. With your expertise, you bridge the gap between data, technology, and business.

Your future tasks

• You develop holistic analytics solutions – from data collection and modeling to reporting – and ensure a reliable data basis.
• In the field of data engineering, you design and implement robust ELT/ETL processes including scheduling, monitoring and error handling, and rely on automated tests and deployment pipelines.
• You will build and continuously develop semantic data models for self-service analytics.
• You will independently create meaningful reports and dashboards and support the specialist departments in using data efficiently for analysis and decision-making.
• By defining and implementing quality rules as well as access and protection concepts, you ensure secure and data protection-compliant data usage.
• As an interface between specialist departments and the data platform, you translate business questions into concrete analytical use cases and support their implementation.

Your profile

• You have a completed degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, mathematics or a comparable field, or relevant IT training (e.g., IT specialist) and bring several years of relevant professional experience in the field of data analytics or data engineering.
• You have very good knowledge of SQL as well as solid experience in handling Git and CI/CD workflows.
• You have practical experience with analytical in-memory databases (e.g. EXASOL) as well as with reporting and BI tools such as SAP Business Objects or Power BI.
• Ideally, you have experience with SAP S/4HANA and data extraction via SAP Datasphere.
• You possess a solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, data quality, and data governance principles.
• You are able to present complex issues in a way that is appropriate for the target audience and to communicate them in an understandable manner.
