Working Student (m/f/d) - Software and Systems Tests for Microscopy Applications

Evident Technology Center Europe GmbH (ETCE), based in Münster, Germany, has been developing and producing intelligent software and hardware solutions for microscopy for more than 35 years as a global ‘Center of Excellence.’ Until March 2023, it was part of Olympus Corporation, Japan. In April 2023, Olympus spun off the business unit and transferred its Scientific Solutions division’s operations to the newly founded, independent company Evident.

Tasks

• Software tests: your exciting assignment will be to carry out software tests in a modern, agile working environment, often in combination with our supported microscopy hardware
• Test specifications: you will create and update test specifications in English
• Documentation: the results of your test are invaluable! You will document them meticulously and generate bug reports in our bug tracking tool

Requirements

• Student : you are enrolled as a student, have a strong affinity with IT and are interested in a long-term relationship (minimum one year) – 20 hours per week
• Practical experience : initial experience in software development, digital image processing / analysis and / or microscopy is a bonus
• Languague skills : a strong knowledge of English is essential; knowledge of German is advantageous
• Technical abilities : you are not only fully conversant with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office, but also convince with excellent hardware / software knowledge
• Team player : you are a superb communicator, motivated and full of initiative
• Location : you live in Münster (North Rhine-Westphalia) or the surrounding area
• Right to work : you are legally entitled to work in Germany (i.e. you have citizenship, a valid visa or a work permit)
